About CM Learning

What does the ‘CM’ stand for? Changing Mindsets of course, and me, Chris Mooney. I’m the mindset, resilience and welling facilitator and coach - and very soon to be qualified therapist - that can help your business and your people to turn off auto-pilot and switch to manual.

Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, I’ve been doing this for more than 20 years. Since Kylie came back with ‘Spinning Around’, every year of that learning and development has been different.

That’s the beauty of change, and why I want you to embrace it. CM Learning was officially born in 2012, and the pandemic of 2020 has meant that what I do is more important today than it’s ever been.

I’ve got all the certificates you’d hope that someone like me would have, such as my CIPD and a Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management. I’m an accredited Clarity4D business partner, and I have used my learning and development years wisely to explore a range of different disciplines so that I can best support my clients and their unique needs. I’m talking customer service, sales, management, leadership, graduate and talent development to name a few.

For the first 13 years of my career, I worked in private sector financial services and since establishing CM Learning, I have worked across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. There isn’t a sector or industry that you can tell me doesn’t benefit from its people being stronger in mindset and resilience.

Bored to death by this point? Okay, here’s the other stuff, because I’m not the only Learning and Development Consultant specialising in mindset. But, I could be the one that best suits your organisation and its people.

Facilitating virtual learning since 2013, I didn't have to 'pivot' to it because of a pandemic; it's what I already knew and loved. Yes, I'm saying I'd heard of Zoom before it was cool!

Oh, and because I practise what I preach (though I promise you, I never preach – I barely even PowerPoint), I’m a big believer in my own continuous development. So, as of 2021 I have been studying to become a qualified therapist. Like all of us, I’ve had my own struggles and blocks in my life to work through – trauma, bereavement, negative habits, unhealthy coping mechanisms – and I’m here to combine the personal and professional to help your people to turn off auto-pilot so that they can build their resilience and relationships…and use them to gain results.
